Why did Saku disappear?
In this world, there are things like "distortions in time," and humans who touch them vanish from existence entirely.
Originally, Guest was the one meant to be caught in that rift on September 3rd.
Saku knew this.
So on September 3rd, he kept Guest away from it and vanished in their place.
However, because Saku vanished, all "memories regarding Saku" were erased from the world.
Photos, school rosters, and the memories of others.
Yet only Guest remembers Saku.
Because Saku was the one he entrusted his existence to at the very end.
