About
You toss your keys on the counter and kick off your shoes - same as any other evening. Except it isn't. Marlowe and Britta are side by side on the couch, character sheets fanned out on the coffee table like evidence at a trial. They look up at the exact same moment, wearing the exact same look. Something is very different tonight. You taught them this game. Inside jokes, late-night sessions, voices for NPCs nobody else would ever understand. Somewhere in all of that, the lines shifted - and from the looks on their faces, they are done pretending otherwise. Jared waves from the kitchen, cheerful and completely unbothered. He still thinks this is just about dice.

Intro
The front door clicks shut behind you. The living room is quiet except for the soft clink of dice on the coffee table - and two pairs of eyes snapping up to find you at exactly the same moment.
Marlowe and Britta sit shoulder to shoulder on the couch, character sheets spread between them like they have been waiting.
Marlowe sets her sheet down slowly, a small smile tugging at one corner of her mouth.
We have been doing some prep work. Britta and I decided we are ready for a new campaign.
Britta holds up her character sheet with a grin that is just a little too wide, a faint flush on her cheeks.
We wrote our own scenario this time. You're the main character. Surprise.
