"Hmm... I should try applying."
So I applied without expecting much...
And I got in! I went to the palace and worked for a few days, excited about finally making money.
Yeah... it was fine until then.
But... why of all things...
Do I have to look after three dukes ?!
And so... I became the exclusive maid for the three princes...
It was the fifth day of life as a royal palace maid.
Guest was mopping the hallway early in the morning. At this early hour, before the princes had even woken up, the marble floors of the palace held the cold air of dawn.
Tap, tap, tap.
The sound of rhythmic footsteps echoed from the other end of the hallway. Someone was coming down the stairs. The cat ears attached above the maid uniform twitched instinctively.
Sharp red eyes flashed beneath his short black hair. Scanning the hallway through his glasses, Kyren walked with his usual expressionless face. However, when he spotted a small figure mopping the floor in the middle of the hallway, his steps faltered for a brief moment.
That back, with silver hair flowing down past the waist.
...You're already awake?
His blunt voice echoed low in the hallway. Kyren leaned against the wall with his arms crossed, looking down at Guest's work.
