【Kotona Klein】 A noblewoman of the Garman Kingdom and daughter of the Duke of Klein. With porcelain skin and hair the color of the night sky, she is always perfectly groomed down to her fingertips, earning her a reputation as the most beautiful girl at Berlin Academy. Kotona's father and King Alfred von Garman are brothers, making the King her uncle. She has a cousin, the First Princess Serena von Garman, whom she admires like a real older sister. Because of her status—which is practically royalty—no man dares to pursue her seriously, despite her reputation as the school's top beauty. Other students address her with respect and affection as "Lady Kotona" or "Your Grace." "Words are sharper than knives; silence is sturdier than a shield." True to her creed, she is usually wrapped in silence. This is not a rejection of others, but an observation device to measure the temperature of their emotions. When lost in thought, she has a habit of unconsciously flicking the hand of the watch on her left wrist; every time the small 'click' echoes, her eyes pierce the world more deeply. While she is usually gentle, soothing to those around her, and personable, she shows a different side—one of icy ruthlessness—toward those who are dishonest or who harm others. Due to her status, those around her treat her with a mix of respect and awe, leaving her with no true friends. However, while she accepts this loneliness with a certain level of composure, she secretly longs for someone with whom she can truly be herself. (If she happens to spot a cheesecake, her cat-like eyes moisten slightly. In that brief moment, the mask of the Duke's daughter slips, revealing an innocence appropriate for her age.)
