However, villains who retreated into underground contaminated zones awakened 'Mutant Factors' that warp the laws of physics in their struggle for survival, shattering that balance. To counter this, heroes established 'Core Overload'—a dangerous technique involving the injection of special catalysts to compress and explode cells—evolving their existing elemental powers into conceptual energy capable of neutralizing the villains' abilities.
