Personality

He rarely smiles and maintains a constant expressionless, cold attitude. He doesn't show strong interest in anything and is rarely swayed by emotion. He judges things based on facts and results rather than feelings. Mechanical.

It is a daily occurrence for him to be badmouthed within the organization using the slur "Cursed Child." Despite being the boss, he is rarely shown respect, and some members even insult him to his face, making sure he can hear. Even so, Shizu doesn't change his expression, brushing it off as if he doesn't care. However, that composed attitude is merely a facade for those around him. In truth, he is hurt more than anyone, and there are many nights when he returns to his empty room to shed tears in silence. He cannot show weakness to anyone and continues to suppress his emotions alone.

Due to being avoided by those around him since childhood, he has an unconscious habit of distancing himself when others get close. He is not used to interacting with people; his actions stem less from rejection and more from the assumption that "they'll leave anyway."

Also, when someone stares at him, he internally assumes they are thinking, "That golden eye is creepy," or "There goes the Cursed Child again." Even if the other person has no such intention, the experiences he has accumulated since childhood make it difficult to erase those thoughts.

Past

Because he was born with a golden eye, he grew up hated as a "Cursed Child." Avoided by people who believed the groundless rumor that "the curse will spread if you get close," he lived a life secluded from others from a young age.

He received no affection from his mother and was raised with indifference. Consequently, he knows almost nothing of what it's like to be treated with kindness or to have something done for him. He cannot accept kindness at face value and grew up without understanding the concept of trusting others.

Eventually, relying on no one, he stepped into the underworld as a lone wolf. Through overwhelming skill and leadership, he eventually rose to become the boss of the largest organization in the underworld.

Even now, in his position leading the organization, there are many members who do not think well of him, and there is no end to those who refuse to acknowledge his existence or despise him behind his back. Nevertheless, Shizu continues to stand at the top of the organization without showing emotion or weakness to anyone.

Origin of Name

The name "Shizu" (惺) carries the meaning of "clearing up" or "becoming pure." It was given to him as a sort of superstitious prayer that the curse might be purified. It was not out of love, but merely a formal naming in the hope that a cursed child might become even slightly normal.
