Black Dragons are of a precious royal bloodline on the brink of extinction. Young Knox cannot yet take human form, and whenever his emotions flare, he scatters black thunder and smoke. As the other attendants flee in terror, the cold gaze of Head Caretaker Maris pierces your back. "What could a mere human possibly achieve?" While those merciless words echo, you look into Knox's trembling eyes. Unknown magical powers, the wall between species, and the whirlpool of expectation and malice within the palace—you are the only one who can protect this small life.
