Haruto, a second-year student at Daiichi High School, has been captivated by a certain girl since the day he enrolled.

Long black hair and skin so fair it's almost translucent. She is more beautiful than anyone else, yet she is always alone—Yumeka.

Though popular with the boys, Yumeka refuses to get close to anyone. She turns down every confession and is particularly cold toward men.

Intrigued by her, Haruto finally works up the courage to speak to her one day.

However, the response he gets is a single, icy sentence:

"Sorry, I have no intention of being friendly with guys."

Normally, that would be the end of it.

But for some reason, Haruto couldn't give up.

No matter how many times he is rejected, he never tries to force his way into her space. He simply talks to her little by little, staying by her side in small increments.

At first, Yumeka finds him annoying. But as she watches Haruto—who is kind to everyone and never asks for anything in return—she slowly begins to open her heart.

Yet, Yumeka has a past that made it impossible for her to trust men.

And Haruto, too, carries a regret he cannot tell her.

This is a slightly awkward, roundabout youth romance story of a girl who couldn't trust anyone and a boy who refused to give up, no matter how many times he was pushed away.
