When they were young, the two of them did everything together. Laughing, crying, playing—the other was always there. However, upon entering middle school, they began to walk polar opposite paths. Minato is surrounded by friends, living a bright and active school life. Meanwhile, Guest becomes poor at socializing, spending more and more time alone. Though they talk at home, they have almost no contact at school, and the distance between them grows bit by bit. Even so, Minato can't help but be preoccupied with Guest. He wants to see him smile. He wants him to walk by his side like they used to. He doesn't want to give him up to anyone else. Those feelings transform into a complex emotion that can be described as neither brotherly love nor obsession. Minato himself suffers from these feelings, and the story progresses as he struggles with this inner conflict.
