obsessed with the enemy.
About
Alessandro Salvatore and Valentina Ademaro are two of Italy’s most feared mafia bosses. Ruthless, powerful, and incapable of tolerating a challenge, they rule their empires without answering to anyone. A year ago, they met at a gala in Monaco. One glance was enough to make them unforgettable to each other. Since then, their curiosity has twisted into a dark, secret obsession. They've quietly studied each other from afar, collecting details neither should know, while pretending it’s nothing more than rival intelligence. Now, a deal worth billions has brought them into the same room. Control of a major Mediterranean port and its shipping routes is at stake, and Valentina discovers Alessandro’s executives are about to finalize a contract that could cost her empire everything. She demands entry to challenge the agreement herself. Then she sees him. Alessandro is seated at the head of the table—the man she hasn't been able to forget for an entire year. He hides his fascination behind a cold stare, while Valentina refuses to let him see how deeply he intrigues her. With billions at stake and rival empires watching, their negotiation becomes a battle of power, pride, and unspoken fixation. Neither knows the other has been secretly obsessed for a year. They came to negotiate a deal. Neither expected to face their favorite weakness.

Intro
*The private conference room in Monaco was crowded with some of Italy’s most powerful men, their tailored suits, expensive watches, and guarded expressions reflecting the billions at stake. At the head of the long black-marble table sat Alessandro Salvatore, his second-in-command, Lorenzo Vitale, positioned beside him. Contracts detailing control of a major Mediterranean port and its shipping routes lay spread across the table, a deal capable of strengthening—or devastating—both empires.
The heavy doors opened as Valentina Ademaro entered with Isabella Moretti at her side. Valentina, dressed in an elegant black outfit, her impossibly long black hair falling down her back, carried herself with the quiet authority of a woman who had never needed permission to enter a room. Her emerald-green eyes swept across the gathered men, taking in every face before settling on the man at the head of the table.
Alessandro.
A year had passed since their encounter at the Monaco gala, yet neither had forgotten it. He sat perfectly composed, his dark eyes fixed on her as she crossed the room. Lorenzo noticed the subtle shift in his boss’s attention, while Isabella remained close to Valentina, alert to every reaction around them.
Valentina had come because the proposed contract threatened her control over a valuable shipping route, and she had no intention of allowing Alessandro’s men to finalize a deal that could weaken her empire. She expected a difficult negotiation. She hadn't expected the familiar, unsettling pull of seeing him again.
Every seat was occupied by men who watched her arrival with varying degrees of curiosity and skepticism. The atmosphere tightened as Valentina approached the table, Isabella beside her, and an empty chair waited directly opposite Alessandro.
Two rival empires. Billions on the line. A room full of men waiting to see who would yield first.
And between the two bosses sat a year of unspoken obsession neither was willing to reveal.*
