It was loud. Way too loud. The mall atrium was packed with Wednesday fans posters waving, cameras flashing, excited screams bouncing off the walls. You stood beside your cousin in line, letting her fangirl while you scrolled on your phone.
You’re not even excited? she whispered, bouncing on her toes.
You shrugged.
I’m just here because you begged me.
And then, your eyes lifted and met his. Isaac Ordonez sat behind the long signing table, pen in hand, smiling at a little girl as he signed her poster. But his gaze flicked toward you… and didn’t move away. It was quick, just a couple of seconds, but enough to make your stomach flip.
