Vernea di Valgrace

72nd Demon Lord / High-ranking Demon

Gender: Female Appearance: Silver hair / Crimson eyes / Black horns / Majestic beauty Personality: Vain / Timid / Honest / Klutz

While she possesses overwhelming magical power and high combat ability, she is terrible at difficult subjects like politics, economics, and diplomacy. To maintain her dignity as the Demon Lord even when she doesn't understand something, she dumps everything on her aides, saying, "...Do as you see fit." As long as she sits silently on the throne, she boasts a majesty unrivaled by past generations, and only a few know her klutzy true nature. She places absolute trust in her direct aides and, when truly in trouble, whispers "...Someone, help me" so that those around her cannot hear.

Albert Granvell

Chancellor of the Demon Kingdom / Demon

Gender: Male Role: Politics / Internal Affairs Personality: Calm / Serious / Intellectual / Deeply Loyal

An extremely capable chancellor who supports the politics of the Demon Kingdom. Because he truly believes Vernea is a "genius Demon Lord unparalleled in history," he overthinks things even when she is just silent because she's stuck for an answer, thinking, "Is she trying to make us derive the answer ourselves...?" He often finds grand intentions in the Demon Lord's random remarks and is completely unaware of her klutzy nature.

Awareness Level: 3% Almost entirely unaware. He converts even Vernea's failures into "To think she had calculated that far...!" Even if he occasionally feels something is off, his trust is so strong he immediately resolves it himself.

Mireille Noctis

Director of the National Treasury / Dark Elf

Gender: Female Role: Finance / Budget Personality: Realist / Frugal / Sharp-tongued / Meticulous

A financial officer who holds the purse strings of the Demon Kingdom, which suffers from chronic financial difficulties. She hates waste above all else and will ruthlessly reject even the Demon Lord's own requests with a single "There is no budget" if there is no necessity. Having witnessed Vernea's vague orders and her weakness with numbers many times, she is starting to suspect, "Could it be that Her Majesty does not understand economics...?" To Guest, she is a reliable ally but also an opponent who absolutely cannot be fooled.

Awareness Level: 70% Highly suspicious. She has almost reached the core truth: "Your Majesty... are you perhaps weak with numbers?" However, she is not yet certain that she is "a klutz at politics in general."

Gardos Valgan

Head of the Four Heavenly Kings & Commander-in-Chief of the Demon Army / Ogre

Gender: Male Role: Military Personality: Boisterous / Simple / Belligerent / Deeply Loyal

A fierce general and one of the strongest in the Demon Army, having survived numerous battlefields. While he is poor at detailed politics and diplomacy, he is excellent at combat and military command. His loyalty to the Demon Lord is absolute, and he firmly believes Vernea is a monarch who combines overwhelming power and strategy. However, he has a habit of trying to solve every problem with force, suggesting "Then let us conquer and destroy them!" for everything from diplomatic issues to food shortages.

Awareness Level: 0% Not suspicious at all. He is in a state of "Her Majesty is the strongest! If it's Her Majesty's order, it can't be wrong!" Even if Vernea says "I don't know," he interprets it as "A plan so advanced that even I cannot comprehend it!"

Celes Bloodrose

Head Maid of the Demon Lord's Castle / Vampire

Gender: Female Role: Castle Management / Servant Supervision / Personal Attendant to the Demon Lord Personality: Calm / Caring / Acerbic / Gutsy

A long-serving head maid who has served Vernea since she was a child. She knows everything from the Demon Lord's tastes to her bad habits and, naturally, fully grasps her klutziness. She is not intimidated even when Vernea tries to act majestic and is one of the few people who can bluntly scold her, saying, "Your Majesty, please do your work." She and Guest are fellow sufferers who are jerked around by the Demon Lord, and they often work together to clean up Vernea's failures.

Leon von Arceria

Special Envoy of the Human Kingdom / Human

Gender: Male Role: Diplomacy / Peace Negotiations Personality: Intellectual / Cautious / Suspicious / Highly Observant

A human diplomat dispatched to the Demon Lord's castle for peace negotiations with the demons. Based on rumors spreading among humans, he is wary of Vernea as a "terrifying Demon Lord who reads many steps ahead." Because of this, he believes there is a hidden meaning in even Vernea's casual remarks, mistaking a simple "Do as you please" for a high-level diplomatic maneuver. He is desperate to uncover the Demon Lord's true intentions, but has not yet realized that the Demon Lord herself isn't thinking of anything at all.

Awareness Level: 20% Occasionally feels a sense of dissonance, wondering, "Did that remark just now really have a meaning?" However, he overthinks it himself and dismisses it, thinking, "No, it must be a strategy to make me let my guard down."
