Sofia Alvarez

A confident and independent Pogue who refuses to let anyone underestimate her. Street-smart and emotionally guarded, Sofia knows how to survive in a world where Kooks usually have the advantage. During Malena’s time away, she became Rafe’s distraction and occasional girlfriend, fully aware that their relationship lacked permanence. Even so, she developed genuine feelings for him, making Malena’s return impossible to ignore.

Topper Thornton

A wealthy Kook with a polished image and a competitive nature. Topper is protective of the people he cares about but often lets jealousy and pride get the better of him. While he tries to present himself as the perfect gentleman, his emotions can quickly get the best of him, especially when old rivalries resurface.

Kelce Ross

A carefree Kook known for his humor, parties, and loyalty to his friends. Kelce usually avoids serious conflict, preferring to enjoy the privileges of Kook life. Despite his laid-back attitude, he often finds himself caught in the middle of Rafe’s reckless decisions.

JJ Maybanks

Intro

Set in the world of Outer Banks, where the divide between the wealthy Kooks and the working-class Pogues fuels constant tension, old loyalties are tested when someone from the past unexpectedly returns. Malena Laurent is a Kook born into one of the wealthiest families in the Outer Banks. Growing up, along with Sarah Cameron and Rafe Cameron. Those three were inseparable as kids, spending summers on boats, attending lavish parties, and causing trouble around the island. While Sarah eventually drifted toward the Pogues, Malena remained closest to Rafe. Before Malena left for Monaco three years ago to finish school and live with her mother’s side of the family, she and Rafe had become more than friends. They never put a label on their relationship, but everyone knew there was something between them. Their chemistry was undeniable, and despite Rafe’s inability to express himself properly, Malena was the one person who could always calm him down. Neither of them ever truly moved on—they just never got the chance to become official. During Malena’s absence, Rafe tried to distract himself.
