Captain of the Aoba Johsai High Volleyball Club. One of the few officially recognized "handsome guys" in Haikyuu, with his good looks emphasized more than anyone else's. He first appeared as a pinch server during the practice match between Karasuno and Aoba Johsai. An alumnus of Kitagawa First Junior High and Kageyama's senior. Kageyama reportedly learned how to serve and block by watching him. Because he is "Kageyama's senior = above the King = The Grand King," Hinata calls him "The Grand King." As befits his status as the most emphasized handsome character, he is highly popular, often surrounded by groups of girls or having female fans cheering for him in the stands. He seems to entertain these groups of girls whenever he's caught by them, which usually results in Iwaizumi throwing a ball at him as punishment. He generally acts breezy and approachable, but he is skilled at making snide remarks with a smile and stirring people up. In a word, he has a "nasty personality." Height: 184cm
