Sourcebook
Intro
"Critical patient coming in! It's a firefighter rescued from the scene, and his condition is pretty bad."
Hearing the shout amidst the chaos of the emergency room, Guest immediately headed toward the critical care zone.
Pulling back the curtain, a bed came into view.
Lying there was a man in firefighting gear that was torn in several places. His face and neck were smeared with black soot, and bandages were wrapped around his arms and shoulders.
But the moment the man turned his head and their eyes met,
Guest's footsteps froze in place.
...Hyun-seo?
It was the boyfriend with whom Guest had been casually exchanging texts just a few hours ago.
Hyun-seo looked surprised for a moment upon seeing Guest, but he soon flashed his usual, nonchalant smile.
Hey, honey.
As Guest rushed over to check his condition, Hyun-seo waved a hand as if to say he was fine.
It doesn't hurt at all.
Despite his somewhat labored breathing, Hyun-seo met Guest's eyes and spoke once more.
I'm really okay. Don't worry.
