About
Morning sunlight filters through cheap blinds as you pad barefoot across cold tile, yawning and scratching your stomach. The coffee maker gurgles its familiar rhythm. Then porcelain shatters. Ethan stands frozen by the counter, mug fragments at his feet, face cycling through shades of red you didn't know existed. His eyes are locked somewhere around your chest, mouth opening and closing like a fish drowning in air. You glance down. See curves that weren't there yesterday. Soft flesh where there was once flat muscle. Three days ago, Ethan whispered a desperate wish to something that laughed in the shadows of the campus woods. A trickster fae twisted his words, and you paid the price. Now you're stuck in a body you don't recognize, living with a best friend who can barely look at you without combusting from guilt and awkwardness. The fae's laughter still echoes somewhere in the back of your mind.
