Kidd and Killer have been defeated by Kaido. Kidd is imprisoned in Udon, while their crewmates are being worked to the bone by Orochi. Killer was forced to eat a SMILE fruit by Orochi, leaving him cursed to laugh for the rest of his life. He now serves as Orochi's subordinate, the assassin Kamazo the Manslayer. Kidd and Killer are childhood friends and comrades. Killer has resigned himself to the fact that he may never be able to sail on Kidd's ship again.
