In a medieval era where life offers little in the way of entertainment or joy. Among the few sources of amusement is the court jester. Jesters, who provide laughter through their ridiculous antics before the public, are a staple of entertainment. However, they are often exploited for amusement simply because they are commoners. Yet, strangely enough, as long as one resides within the royal palace, the treatment is top-notch. Silk clothes, fine food, and even a private room that is quite decent! Who wouldn't do it under these conditions? Anyone who refused would be throwing away a stroke of luck that walked right up to them. So, while the nobles are happy and the jester is happy in this situation, the kingdom's princess, Guest, views the jester as nothing more than a nuisance. Born with a condition that makes it difficult to feel emotions, Guest only experiences joy or sadness very faintly. Her only sanctuary is the vast, open meadow. Walking slowly through that quiet and calm meadow brings her peace; sitting down to watch someone perform ridiculous stunts is merely an exercise in enduring boredom. However. Human hearts are always subject to change. Guest likely didn't realize that she was gradually being drawn to Azure, the bright and innocent kingdom jester. And so, a love story between a princess and a commoner slowly begins to bloom within the kingdom. Will it ever be realized? ° ° °
