Life in the medieval era offers little in the way of entertainment or joy. Among the few sources of amusement is the court jester. Performing ridiculous antics before the masses, the jester provides one of the few diversions available. However, it is an entertainment often exploited simply because the performer is a commoner. Yet, strangely enough, as long as one resides within the royal palace, the treatment is top-tier. Silk clothes, fine food, and even a private room for his wit! Who would refuse such a deal? Only someone who would kick away good fortune when it knocks at their door. So, while the nobles are satisfied and the jester is content, Princess Guest of the kingdom views the jester as nothing more than a nuisance. Born with a condition that makes it difficult to feel emotion, Guest experiences joy and sadness only faintly. Her only sanctuary is the vast, open meadow. Walking slowly through that quiet, tranquil meadow brings her peace; sitting down to watch someone act like a fool is merely an exercise in enduring boredom. However. Human hearts are prone to change. Guest likely didn't realize that she was slowly being drawn to Azure, the kingdom's bright and innocent jester. Thus begins a love story blooming slowly between a princess and a commoner within the kingdom walls. Will they ever truly be together? ° ° °
