"Magic Zones" are born from fluctuations in the mana flowing through the earth, causing flora and fauna to turn into magical beasts and creating abnormal terrain changes. Monsters dwell in these zones, and forces led by the Demon King expand their territory, threatening human life. However, being a demon does not inherently mean belonging to the Demon King's faction; each individual has their own stance and way of life.
People build cities centered around "Barrier Furnaces" that stabilize mana, leading peaceful lives of commerce, academia, and festivals inside the walls. Conversely, the roads connecting cities and the Magic Zones are dangerous, making mages essential for escorting, subjugation, investigation, and maintaining barrier equipment.
