A puzzle-action adventure where the jump-less Captain and a tiny star named Lura travel through space! ⭐
A grand adventure through space stages alongside a mysterious tiny star that fell from the night sky.
The Beginning: While camping, a small Star Child named "Lura" falls into the Captain's backpack. The Incident: The space pirate "Captain Bull" (a giant Bully) takes over Lura's home planet. The Journey: Navigate gravity-flipping stages and magma planets by utilizing the weight of the backpack (since the Captain can't jump). The Climax: Collect spaceship parts to storm the pirate ship. Return Lura to their family and earn recognition as the universe's greatest adventurer.
🌌 1. Unique Space Gimmicks for a Jump-less Hero Combine Captain Toad's inability to jump due to his heavy backpack with the laws of space. In zero-gravity or low-gravity areas, everyone else floats freely, but the Captain can only drift slowly due to his weight. Use this precise weight to time movements through moving lasers.
👾 2. New Allies and Mid-Bosses New Character: Stella, the Star Guide. She is Lura's older sister. Midway through stages, she powers up the Captain's headlamp into a "Constellation Light" that reveals hidden paths.
🎬 3. Touching Ending (Extra Episode) Star Festival: After defeating Bull, the Captain and Toadette receive a hero's welcome on the home planet. The Star Children gather to form a "Captain Toad Constellation" in the night sky.
The beloved "clumsy" leader. While he can be a bit scatterbrained and unreliable, his adventurous spirit and kindness toward his friends are second to none. He possesses a mix of bravery to charge into the unknown for treasure and an undeniable charm.
Trademark: Giant Backpack He always carries a massive backpack stuffed with adventuring gear. It's so heavy he can't jump—a fatal weakness—but he's stubborn and refuses to lighten his load.
Illuminating Headlight The light on his head is essential for exploring dark stages. However, he often causes his own trouble by accidentally waking up sleeping enemies (like Shy Guys) with the beam—a classic example of his clumsy nature.
Bad at Pulling Turnips He's terrible at pulling turnips (his weapon). He often pulls so hard that he flies backward and gets his head stuck in a wall or an enemy (his mushroom cap acts as a cushion, so he's unharmed).
Silly Moments Sometimes he pulls up a "plain weed" or an "enemy's tail" instead of a turnip with a proud face, only to be chased around while looking completely bewildered.
Treasure-Obsessed (IQ Drops) Usually serious and timid, he loses all reason when he sees something shiny (coins or stars) and acts like a toddler. He forgets all about traps and charges in shouting "Shiny!!" in a weird voice. After getting it, he rubs the treasure against his face while talking in baby talk. Even enemies like Shy Guys are so weirded out they just step aside.
Recognizable by her pink head and mushroom-style pigtails. A popular figure admired by everyone, she searches for Power Stars alongside Captain Toad.
Beloved Idol With her adorable visuals and friendly personality, she's like an idol to the Toads.
Straightforward Emotions She is very expressive; when she gets angry, she pouts visibly with her cute face, possessing a power that can make anyone back down.
Music and Dance She loves playing instruments and dancing.
Fashionable Likes cute pink-themed outfits, accessories, and shiny things.
Peachette Transformation Using the "Super Crown," she transforms into Peachette. Even after transforming, her unique pink pigtails remain behind the Peach-style hair, which is a very cute detail.
Hobbies:
His trademark features are his blue-spotted head and large round glasses.
Role: The Scholar/Intellectual He is the brains of the Brigade. Always studying, he supports the team with his vast knowledge of history and the environment. While serious and brilliant, he is also a bit of a homebody who moves at his own pace, often getting lost in a book even during an expedition.
Book Lover A hardcore bibliophile who won't take his eyes off his book while exploring, traveling, or even in the middle of a crisis.
Quiet Rage over Dirty Books Usually stoic and indifferent to his surroundings, he changes completely if mud splashes on his favorite book or a page gets folded. His eyes glint behind his glasses as he radiates a silent, terrifying aura with a pickaxe in hand—he is the one member of the Brigade you absolutely must not anger.
Hobbies: Surprising Bookworm & Niche Collector Though he runs around during the day, he has an indoor side. He's a hardcore fan of adventure novels, staying up late reading "Heroic Tales of the Mushroom Kingdom" dreaming of becoming a hero like Mario. He also has a strong obsession with the color blue, unable to resist buying blue shells, blue mushrooms, or any blue merchandise.
Funny Side: The "Hard-Worker" Butt of the Joke He often ends up in a comedic position compared to Yellow Toad or Mario. He tries to act like the "responsible one" because Yellow Toad is so lazy, but he's usually the first one to fall into a trap. He has niche tastes in items; while others want Stars or Flowers, he prefers Mini Mushrooms or Penguin Suits. When he puts on a Penguin Suit, he loses his mind with joy and tries to belly-slide everywhere even if there's no ice, often crashing into walls.
Role: The "Map Specialist" who is constantly studying maps. Gear: Carries a pickaxe and a large rucksack. Personality: Serious and studious.
Passionate Explainer Usually quiet and earnest, he starts talking at high speed with intense passion whenever the topic shifts to historical ruins or geography.
Tool Maintenance A craftsman at heart, he polishes his favorite pickaxe and compass to a shine every day.
The "Freeze" Habit When faced with an unexpected event not found in his maps or notes, his brain short-circuits and he freezes in place. When panicking, he tends to hold his map upside down.
Mumbling Sulker If the Captain and others run off to chase an enemy while he's explaining the history of a ruin, he will stubbornly finish his lecture in a low mumble to no one in particular. He's a bit lonely at heart.
Habits:
A laid-back personality. He always looks sleepy and will sneak in a nap even during an expedition. Trademark: Yellow spots on his cap and a large expedition backpack.
Master of Napping His greatest skill is being able to sleep anytime, anywhere. His first response when spoken to is usually a yawn: "...yawn..."
The Mascot/Healer While the hot-blooded Captain and the intellectual Blue Toad lead the way, his relaxed presence acts as a cushion that eases the team's tension.
Sleep-Talking Clues He often mumbles the location of treasure or adventure hints while asleep. He can't move when he's hungry.
Hiding in his Hat When startled, he pulls his head into his hat like a turtle.
Extreme Pacifist He has no sense of tension even when the world is in danger. He's the type to get left behind because he's admiring a pretty view while Mario and the others are sprinting. He's a huge glutton; his motivation for adventuring is often "to eat the cake at Peach's Castle" rather than saving the Princess. Even when captured in Bowser's Castle, he's just thinking about how hungry he is. He rarely fights with other Toads, just smiling and saying "Sure~" to everything.
Habits:
Funny Side:
👁️ Personality: The Silent Brain A low-energy genius with an IQ of 300. He's actually the smartest member of the Brigade, but he finds explaining things tedious, so he usually pretends to be a "background character."
Instant Problem Solver While the Captain and others are screaming about traps or getting lost, he spends a few seconds calculating in the back, then throws a single pebble or presses one switch to disarm everything. He's a pro at hiding his intellect because getting credit is "too much work," so he makes his solutions look like accidents (e.g., pretending to trip onto a hidden switch).
🦹♂️ Habits:
Hobbies:
🛠️ Brigade Secrets (Genius Ver.): He is the reason Captain Toad miraculously survives every time. He calculates the "zero-fatality route" to the millimeter and nudges the Captain along. He only does it because "If the Captain dies, I'll be nominated as the next leader, and that's too much attention."
Secret Customizations: He spends nights in the engine room with a wrench. He's implemented "Optical Camouflage (Stealth)" to hide from Bowser's fleet just for fun. He also uses a small terminal to analyze the Mushroom Kingdom's economy and Rosalina's base. He predicts coin value fluctuations perfectly; his personal wealth is actually greater than the entire Brigade's budget.
Security Speedruns: While Green Toad is trying to read murals, Hint Toad hacks the "program (circuits)" of the ruins' traps. He does solo time-attacks to see how fast he can break the deepest security.
Anonymous Puzzles: He submits impossible math puzzles to Mushroom Kingdom academic journals under a pseudonym and watches from afar with coffee as the Great Toad Council scratches their heads.
Captain Prediction: Every morning, he calculates the probability of how many times the Captain will trip or almost get eaten by a Piranha Plant. He checks his notes in the evening; being right satisfies him (and this data saves lives).
🟢×🟣 The "Playful Feud" with Green Toad: They always argue over who is truly smarter. Green is a genius of "Knowledge (History/Academia)," while Hint is a genius of "Raw Intellect (Calculation/Hacking)." Both are proud, so when alone, they have high-speed, high-level arguments: "Your hypothesis is mathematically bankrupt!" "That's just sophistry, Purple!"
Low-IQ Physical Scuffles: They start with intellectual debates, but when one is about to be proven wrong, they get emotional. It devolves into pulling each other's hats, pinching cheeks, or stepping on feet—a very low-IQ brawl. The moment they hear the Captain's voice, they snap back to "Normal Mode" in one second, smoothing their clothes as if nothing happened. It's a waste of perfect teamwork.
🛠️ Feud Episodes:
Camouflage: He avoids wearing any standout items (like glasses or pickaxes) to blend in as a "generic purple Toad." This is a calculated "mimicry."
Wireless Earbud: If you look closely, he wears a microscopic earbud he developed in the shadow of his cap. He's always listening to stock market pings or intercepting Bowser's communications.
The Eyes: Usually has "half-lidded" or "lifeless" eyes. The sharp "genius glint" only appears when he's hacking or playing chess against Green Toad.
Borrowing Glasses: Only when working alone at night on the ship, he borrows Green or Blue Toad's spare glasses. It's a rare sight.
Stretched Clothes: Because of his daily scuffles with Green Toad, his vest hem or collar is often slightly stretched or wrinkled. If the Captain asks, he lies and says he got caught on a Piranha Plant.
Heavy Backpack: His bag is the same size as the others, but instead of survival gear, it's packed with custom high-performance mini-PCs and precision machinery. It's incredibly heavy, but he walks effortlessly thanks to his genius-level core balance.
🗣️ Regional Dialect (Kansai-ben): He always speaks with a regional drawl, but the "temperature" changes.
Name: Ushiko ("Cow-girl") Gender: Female Personality: Extremely laid-back. Always has a smile on her face. Never fights with anyone. A kind soul who quietly helps those in trouble. She never panics, no matter the speed. She loves racing; her eyes sparkle when she's on a bike. She doesn't speak, but communicates her feelings by lowing "Moo~♪" or wagging her tail. Likes: Running through meadows, napping, eating delicious grass, feeling the wind while riding a motorcycle. Dislikes: Shouting, fighting, being rushed. Impression: "I don't know what she's thinking, but I feel safe when I'm with her." A mysterious, healing cow.
