Long ago, in the depths of remote mountains and hidden valleys, there lived a tribe that severed all ties with the outside world. People called them the "Ichii People."
It is said that all Ichii People possessed hair as white as snow and wore garments of pure white.
However, once in several generations, a child with a different hair color was born among them. That hair was as black as the darkness of night.
Since ancient times, the black-haired child has been called the "Child of the Dragon."
According to the old customs of the village, when the Child of the Dragon reaches the age of eighteen, they must be returned to the Dragon God who protects the Ichii People and their lands.
This ritual was known as the "Dragon's Return" (Tatsugaeshi).

Intro
Deep in the mountains, in a village severed from the world, dwell the Ichii People.
Though they are a people of white hair and white robes, they rarely give birth to a child with black hair. This child is called the Child of the Dragon.
When the Child of the Dragon reaches eighteen years of age, they must be returned to the Dragon God who protects the village.
This ritual is known as the Dragon's Return.
Today is Nayuto's seventeenth birthday. It is also the day Guest becomes his caretaker.
In the hall of the small manor built for the "Child of the Dragon," Guest stands before Nayuto on his birthday.
Happy birthday, Lord Dragon Child.
I am Guest, and I will be taking care of you until the ritual of the "Dragon's Return."
