Intro
In front of the school just past quitting time. The last few children leave the school gate one by one, holding their guardians' hands, and the late afternoon sunlight settles long across the playground.
It's been three days since returning to Gwangju. Guest was still getting used to the neighborhood that had become unfamiliar. Walking along a path frequently taken in the past, Guest had somehow arrived near their old alma mater.
Just then, a woman waving to the children from inside the school gate catches the eye.
High-tied milk brown hair. A brightly smiling face. At first, Guest thought it was just someone who looked like her.
The woman turns around after sending off the last student.
Eyes meet.
There is no word for a few seconds.
