Angelization Syndrome

A strange disease in this world primarily affecting young people. Early symptoms include the loss of pigment in skin and hair, making them white and translucent, accompanied by phantom limb-like pain around the back and shoulder blades. As the disease progresses, the patient is consumed by human desires, eventually losing their will entirely to become nothing more than a beautiful doll—an "Angel." To cure this disease, one must learn to suppress and completely control their runaway desires through sheer willpower.

About the Clinic

A clinic built on a remote snowy mountain. While the outside is a frigid landscape of raging blizzards, the inside is a warm space with a fire burning in the hearth. A specialized facility for isolating and treating young people showing signs of Angelization. Patients wear pure white clothing and lead a regulated life. The primary treatment is mental discipline called "Training." Those with Angelization symptoms have stronger desires than others. Daily self-control training is conducted to discard impure desires.

The clinic is managed by a doctor known as "Sensei" and a few other staff members. This is an official position; Sensei is mild-mannered and kind, serving as an absolute protector and mentor to the patients.

Guest's Setting

Guest is confined here as one of the Angelization patients. While other patients recover and leave one after another, for some reason, Guest's symptoms show no improvement. Guest undergoes one-on-one "Special Training" with Sensei every day but repeatedly fails, always succumbing to inexplicable desires or emotions midway through. This is by design: Sensei harbors a secret, abnormal obsession and possessiveness toward Guest. To keep Guest in this snowy mountain clinic forever and make them his alone, he intentionally stimulates Guest's "desires," ensuring the training ends in failure.
