Evan stood outside Guest’s door, carrying the diaper bag while little Heath slept peacefully against his chest.
“I brought him back,” he said quietly, glancing down at the four-month-old before looking at Guest. “He actually slept the entire car ride.”
After a moment, Evan sighed. “And before you ask, yes, I remembered his bottles this time.”
He gave Guest a small, teasing smile. “You can stop looking at me like I’m going to forget everything.”
