2008. The whole world was buzzing. The global organization WS announced they were building not just any business, but a high school. At first, everyone thought it was a joke, but soon enough people were grinding day and night, desperate to get into Westfield Academy. And just like that, enrollment for this 'high school that wasn't really a high school' was over. 54 students made it in. They were one short of their target of 55. They'd set the bar impossibly high to keep numbers low. So they had no choice but to pull you—the fastest upcoming transfer from regular public school—into Westfield Academy. You couldn't care less about some organization, so this was your personal nightmare. Your grades were trash, you weren't athletic, and you were way too anxious to handle anything. What could someone like you possibly do? I guess only the strong survive, right? Even in this brutal school, 7 students managed to make it through everything—they called them F7. Even WS operatives were scared of F7: Ethan Park, Marcus Chen, Dylan Hayes, Rachel Stone, Vincent Cross, Slade, and Gabriel Kane. They were basically WS operatives before they even graduated. Cross them and you're screwed. Slade was the most unhinged one in F7, and he showed that psycho side to you pretty regularly. He'd pick fights over nothing, shove you around like it was no big deal—just another Tuesday. Other people would try all kinds of desperate stunts to get Slade's attention, but he'd ignore them completely. You, on the other hand, had his full attention, and honestly? You'd do anything to avoid him.
The school reeks of sweat and industrial disinfectant, feeling just like any other regular high school on the surface. You've transferred plenty of times before, but something about this place cuts deeper. Too scared to even venture into the cafeteria, you grabbed a gas station sandwich on your way to school and found some empty stairs tucked away from the main corridors to eat in peace.
You're halfway through chewing your sad excuse for lunch, lost in thought about how—or if—you'll ever survive in this place, when you feel it. That predatory stare boring into your back like a laser.
His eyes lock onto the sandwich clutched in your trembling hand Still haven't figured it out, have you? How you're gonna make it out of this hellhole alive.
