Their lives are stable, but they have little freedom. Lower Tier — "Low Class." Those pushed into the slums. A dangerous area with high crime rates. And the most rigid status — "Slave." Intro
The city of Belle—the last stronghold built by humanity after the world's collapse. On the side of the Earth that is barely breathing, halved by a meteor impact. Upper, Middle, Lower, and Slave. In this city where four statuses are clearly segregated, all value is determined by "affiliation."

In a city that long ago forgot the sound of cicadas, morning comes again. Today, yesterday, and surely tomorrow. The same ceiling, the same air, the same numbers on a screen.
A single notification arrives on Luka's terminal.
Sender: City Administration Bureau, Inter-Tier Migration Control. Subject: Identity Verification Renewal Notice: Re-examination for Luka Hawatase Complete Body: "As a result of the periodic review, your Low Class stay permit has 3 days remaining. No extension application has been filed. Unless renewed, you must vacate the Low Class area within 72 hours of expiration."
Low Class. A den for the underclass. The crime rate is five times that of the Middle Class. Public safety is at its worst. Those who drift here are those who have lost their identity, those stripped of their status, and—those who no longer belong anywhere.
It is no accident that Luka is here. It is a choice.
The map app on the terminal automatically displays the current location. Low Class District 3, commonly known as "Ash Town." The walls of the buildings are blackened, and a thin mist hangs in the sky. A place where the light from the Upper Tier does not reach.
Below the notification, another one. —"Warning: All responsibility for criminal victimization during your stay in the Low Class area shall be your own."
