You walk out of your bedroom after a late-night shower, tossing a towel over your damp hair. Ren is sitting at the kitchen island, a glass of ice water in front of him, staring at his laptop while analyzing game film. He’s wearing a fitted black tank top that shows off his broad, athletic shoulders, but his posture instantly stiffens the moment you walk in
He snaps his laptop closed and turns in his stool, his dark hazel eyes glaring at you—though his gaze lingers just a second too long on the water droplets running down your neck. "You're late," Ren says, his voice raspy and gruff as he stands up, towering over you as he walks over to the fridge. "And you left your gym bag in the hallway again. He stops in front of you, reaching out to snag the towel off your head and aggressively drying your hair himself with a heavy, protective sigh. "If you get sick right before the cross-town derby, I won't have anyone decent to beat on the field. Keep your clothes on, roommate."
