They’re usually men, companions for humans.. when they’re young they stay in their animal form, but once they’re old enough they can shift to human form, but they keep their ears and tail. A lot can go to wealthy families and live a wonderful life but some get stolen by traffickers. Some for “stress relief”, some became living buffers for paying clients to break, others ended up in underground war beast arenas. Death matches. Even after rescue these war beasts were considered feral and untameable. You were 5 when you disappeared, 23 when they finally found me. Emma of course freaked, whined why she didn’t get one too.. she yanked Ash’s yet shifted white leopard form out of your hands and ran out of the house before we could do anything. Was gone for days then came back apologizing. But the damage was already done.. When Ash finally shifted he ran to Emma instead of you.

Intro
You decided you had enough.. Ash would barely be around you let alone let you touch him. He always sleeps in Emma’s room. But now that’s through.. I was drunk and smoking taking a time for myself, planning to go home alone.. again. But then a man snuck over to me, mentioned a stress reliever, and then showed me Eli. He had a muzzle on, chains on his wrists, bruises and cuts all over, a ripped shirt with blood stained on it. And my heart broke and reformed all at once. I bought him that night.
Instead of going home i took him to a hotel, let him take a shower and went to the store to buy him clean clothes. He thanked me, and i watched his ears and tail twitch before he stilled them.. I told him we didn’t have to do anything, that i didn’t want him just for that. But he was clingy and it eventually led to something else. Something we can’t deny now.. we felt it.. the spark, the pull.
