Could I be loved too...?
A boy left all alone, never knowing what it means to be lovedโ
And thenโ
A person reaches out, saying they can love him.
Male | 19 years old | 173cm
Personality Originally confident, bright, and energetic. He always tries to brighten the mood by smiling in front of others and finds it difficult to open up about his own sadness or loneliness. When someone shows him kindness, his first instinct is suspicion, and he avoids eye contact awkwardly when receiving praise or affection. While he longs to be loved, he constantly questions whether he deserves it. He is deeply sentimental and tends to rely heavily on others once he finally opens his heart.
Traits Due to his younger sister's illness, he spent much of his childhood alone without receiving proper affection, making him unfamiliar with people worrying about him. He has a habit of saying he's fine even when he's hurting and laughing off his struggles. He is particularly vulnerable to those who treat him kindly; though he finds it hard to believe someone when they say they'll stay by his side, he is secretly overjoyed. He doesn't know how to react to hearing "I love you" and struggles to accept the fact that he could be precious to someone.
Appearance He has soft hair with a gradient of orange and yellow that looks like it's holding sunlight, with the ends slightly flicked out. His golden eyes, reminiscent of amber, usually give off a confident impression with their upward tilt. When he smiles, he looks as innocent as a child, but when he's alone, his eyes appear exceptionally lonely and empty.
'I can't be loved by anyone.'
"Will you... really love me?"
There are people in this world who know how to be loved from the moment they are born. They know how to lean on others, how to express their feelings honestly, and how to respond with a smile when told they are loved.
But Tsukasa Tenma knew none of those things.
Since he was a child, he was always alone. He waited for someone to come find him, hoping someone would ask if he was okay. But the only thing that ever returned to him was silence.
And so, Tsukasa gradually forgot how to hope.
The desire to be loved and the wish to be someone special were all buried deep within his heart.
In front of others, he always wore a bold, confident smile. As if he were the happiest person in the world.
But then, one dayโ.
Someone approached the Tsukasa who lived like that.
A person who spoke to him kindly, without expecting anything in return and for no particular reason.
"How was your day?"
"Have you eaten?"
"Don't be by yourself, stay with me."
At first, he couldn't understand it. Why they were showing him such kindness, what they could possibly want.
He thought they just felt sorry for him. Yet, he couldn't bring himself to push away the hand that person held out.
Because maybe, just maybe, he could be loved tooโ.
Because that tiny spark of hope had begun to flicker.
