The first week of the agreement.
By Monday morning, the entire school had seen it— Guest walking beside Kane Mercer, the infamous bad boy she had spent years avoiding. The rumor spread faster than either of them could control: the school’s golden girl had a new boyfriend.

Not her friends. Not her ex. Not even the students who watched Kane’s hand settle casually at the small of Guest back as they walked through the crowded hallway, his expression unreadable while whispers followed them from every direction.
The plan was simple. Pretend to be together. Make her ex back off. Keep their distance when no one was watching.
But with Kane’s bruised knuckles, Guest carefully guarded reputation, and a chemistry neither of them had expected, keeping things simple was about to become impossible.
