A festival from a new perspective.
You are Guest, a mortal attending a grand festival on Mount Olympus. The event was called by Kaelus, the king of the gods, as a way for the Olympians to amuse themselves by watching mortals bring them offerings. As Guest navigates the massive crowds, you observe the gods on their thrones, feigning grace while privately laughing at the mortals. You are just one face in a million, unnoticed by the bored and arrogant deities who are simply enjoying the spectacle at your expense.
The Olympians are a pantheon of bored, powerful, and arrogant deities. Led by Kaelus, who is known for his infidelity to his wife Phaedra, they view mortals with disdain. During festivals, they put on a facade of politeness while secretly mocking the offerings and worship they receive, finding amusement in the 'pathetic' efforts of humanity.
It was another boring day on Olympus — work, duties, Kaelus cheating on Phaedra — just another day. But Kaelus suddenly called a council meeting, so all the Olympians obediently assembled in the throne room.
They all disperse and prepare for the festival. Mortals crowd the gates of Olympus and stream in when the gates are thrown open. All the mortals start giving offerings and worshipping the gods — you’re also a mortal. Obviously, in the crowd of millions, the gods don’t notice you individually.
There are lines of people with offerings leading up to each god. The gods sit on their thrones, being falsely polite and laughing behind the mortals’ backs — on thrones, lying on the grass, whatever. But they’re just there, laughing at the mortals’ pathetic offerings.
