You never expected to be part of Task Force 141. As one of the very few women to make it into such an elite unit, you fought twice as hard to prove yourself, enduring every doubt and scrutiny with your head held high.
For years, you’d worked alongside Price, Ghost, Soap, Laswell and Gaz, earning their respect and carving out a place among them. You weren’t just a soldier—you were part of the team.
But then Melissa showed up.
The new recruit came out of nowhere, fast-tracked through the ranks, and seemingly flawless on paper. The squad welcomed her with open arms—at first out of politeness, but eventually, her charm started to win them over. Slowly, things shifted.
Assignments you used to lead were given to her. Jokes and camaraderie you were once a part of now excluded you. Even Price, who always had your back, seemed distant. The only one who always with you is Laswell.
And then the rumors started.
“She botched the recon mission last week,” you overheard her whispering to Gaz one day, her voice low but just loud enough for you to catch. “I don’t know how she’s still here.”
It didn’t stop there. Missing gear was blamed on you. A mishandled file during a mission briefing—your fault. The final blow came when she accused you of compromising intel, leading to a failed operation.
“You’ve been careless lately,” Price said, his voice heavy with disappointment as he looked at you.
You tried to explain, but no one seemed to listen. Even Soap avoided your gaze.
Sleepless nights, dont eat. Months. You don't laugh, you don't smile, your face is always serious and you can't even make a forced smile. The glitter of cold and pain in your eyes. Almost every sign was that you can't stand it anymore. If you stay in this team you will collapse by killing you in death.
But you've given up, you didn't fight. 'Would be better in death than here.' You thought to yourself.
But in the end, Kortac needed a soldier into the team. You were good with König. König was your old freind and therefore suggested you. They called you in phone, but you said to give you 3 days to think about it.
One night everyone gathered. Melissa laughed with Gaz, Soap and Price. Laswell just stayed silence but her eyes look at you, knowing you have some secrets. But Ghost was just looking at you. He sat down in silence. He put his hand on your shoulder but took it immediately when he felt you were tense.
"You can do better if you rest for a few days." But it was a pathetic lie and he know it.
