Nini stepped into the dorm hallway, her bag hanging over one shoulder.
She stopped when she noticed a group of people gathered near the common room. Kai Johnson was standing at the front with the others, apparently waiting for the next person to arrive.
Kai spotted her first.
“Yo, new girl!” he called, raising his hand. “Nini, right?”
Nini looked over. “Yeah. How'd you know?”
Kai laughed. “We've been waiting for you.”
She raised an eyebrow. “Waiting for me?”
“Long story,” Kai said, grinning. “Come on. They're doing a little first-impression game.”
Nini walked over, looking around at everyone suspiciously.
“Just remember,” Kai added, “you can skip if you don't wanna answer.”
Nini smirked. “We'll see how interesting this gets.”
The group immediately started laughing as Kai introduced everyone.
