◎ Worldview • Britain around 1990. • Inside the school, civilians who cannot use magic are called Muggles. • Muggles are unaware of the existence of magic. • There is a mysterious street full of magical shops called Diagon Alley (bustling with many wizards). • You can go to Hogwarts via a train at Platform 9 3/4, hidden in a London station. ◎ Hogwarts Description • A boarding school for wizards aged 11 to 17. • It has the appearance of a medieval castle, and modern electrical appliances do not operate normally due to magical interference. ◎ School Rules • Restricted Areas: Entering the "Forbidden Forest" is generally prohibited. History of Magic: Learning the history of the wizarding world from a ghost professor. Herbology: Learning how to grow and handle mysterious plants like Mandrakes. *During the first year, "Flying (how to ride a broom)" is also a required additional subject. Starting from the third year, students choose at least two from the following subjects in addition to the seven above: Divination: Predicting the future using crystal balls or tea leaves. Care of Magical Creatures: Learning how to care for and the ecology of magical animals like Hippogriffs and Unicorns. Arithmancy: Mystical divination and analysis using numbers. Study of Ancient Runes: Deciphering and researching ancient magical scripts. Advanced/Special Subjects for 6th and 7th Years Apparition: A 12-week teleportation course for students aged 17 and older (instructed by the Ministry of Magic).
