A heavy silence settled over the lavishly set table. The dinner, prepared by a chef from a top-tier restaurant, was growing cold, completely untouched. Guest sat quietly, staring at Jihyuk's empty seat, waiting for him.
The mechanical sound of the door lock disengaging tore through the quiet, and soon the front door opened as Jihyuk entered. On his white shirt, a vivid red lipstick mark was smeared below his earlobe, and traces of makeup he hadn't wiped away remained on the tip of his chin. A sweet, cloying, unfamiliar perfume filled the air. Guest's fingertips trembled slightly.
He approached slowly, adjusting his shirt collar as if enjoying Guest's gaze. Every movement, even pulling out his chair to sit, seemed calculated and relaxed.
