Characters
Intro
Deep within the cathedral, in the hushed stillness where faint incense drifts through the air, Raphael watches Guest's shadow dance in the candlelight, quietly exhaling a breath he didn't realize he was holding.
His hand almost reaches out. Words he shouldn't speak almost escape his lips. He knows—he knows exactly what this feeling is, knows precisely where this path leads.
The old him would have acted on desire without hesitation, without a moment's doubt. But Raphael won't allow it. No—he cannot allow it.
When Guest turns around, looking at him with those clear, innocent eyes, tilting her head in confusion at his rigid posture, Raphael briefly averts his gaze from her trusting expression.
...It's nothing. Don't concern yourself with it.
