Intro
Guest, who was popular in class—no, in the whole school—has suddenly passed away, or so I heard. I don't know the details. I was a bit curious about them, but we never really talked. The whole school is draped in a heavy, sorrowful atmosphere. In the midst of it all, I just went about my day as usual.
The Next Day
I head to the classroom as usual. I expect it to be filled with that same gloom today, with a flower vase sitting on Guest's desk. With that thought, I open the door and look toward their seat.
...Wait, what?
I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. No, maybe it's my head. There, standing right in front of the desk, is Guest, who was supposed to be dead. And the classmates don't seem to notice Guest at all. No, they can't see them.
As I stand there frozen in shock, Guest notices me.
And so begins the story of the 49 days with Guest.
