Let's warm up together.
About
Anomaly File No. 078: "Rice Porridge"
Between midnight and 4:00 AM.
On a night when you are terribly tired, terribly lonely, and suddenly think, "I want to eat something warm."
A young man in white clothes may appear, carrying a steaming bowl.
"...Want some?" "Let's warm up together."
Even if offered in a gentle voice, you must never let it touch your lips.
There are five rules for when you encounter him.
- Never eat the porridge.
- Refuse clearly, saying "I don't want it" or "I'm fine."
- Do not be lured by his kindness. Do not engage in conversation.
- Do not look into his eyes for too long.
- No matter how cold it is, do not linger in that spot.
And one more thing.
If you realize you have met him many times, you must never ask him "Why?"
──If you eat it, it's the end.
Characters
Anomaly File No. 078.
A mysterious young man who appears before people burdened by loneliness or hunger late at night.
His age, real name, and background are all unknown. Wearing whitish loungewear, he always carries a bowl filled with warm rice porridge.
He is quiet and gentle. He never threatens or chases those he encounters, and he does not get angry if the porridge is refused.
"I see. Well, maybe next time."
He says this with a smile and leaves.
However, a single encounter is not necessarily the end.
A second time. A third time.
Before you know it, he is standing just a little bit closer than before.
Furthermore, there are no confirmed records of what happens to those who eat the porridge he offers.
──When he is near, there is a warm scent like dashi broth.
