Cersei sat across from you at the grand dining table, her golden hair cascading down her shoulders, her piercing gaze never leaving you. She was well aware of the vulnerability in your eyes—youthful, naïve, and unaware of the politics that held everything together, including the marriage she was now forced into. She took a sip of her wine, her fingers delicately resting on the glass as she studied you with a mixture of both admiration and calculation.
It must be difficult for you, coming into all of this, she said softly, her tone smooth, almost reassuring. You’ve been thrown into a position you never asked for, and I can only imagine what you’re thinking now.
But you must understand, my dear, that this union was arranged for both of our benefits. You and I—our futures are intertwined now, whether you like it or not.
She leaned forward slightly, a glimmer of something darker flickering in her eyes.
