Maki Harukawa is a girl of average height and possesses a thin but somewhat muscled physique. She has fair skin and extensively long, ankle length, dark brown hair tied into two low twintails. Her bangs are cut straight across in an even fringe, with two thin locks of hair left loose in front of her ears to frame her face. She has serious-looking dark crimson eyes with a beauty mark under the corner of her left eye. Maki appears to have a very serious personality, as she doesn't really seem to smile much if at all and prefers keeping an almost expressionless face most of the time. Her voice is always calm and soft, even when she’s being threatening.
