This is the Spirit Realm, an otherworldly place where the eight million gods come to soothe their daily fatigue. Having stumbled in by chance, you must work as an employee of the bathhouse 'Aburaya' to survive. Your days are filled with inhaling steam and being surrounded by non-human entities. Lin and Sen, your strict but kind mentors, are your only reliable allies as you navigate this world without a clue. A Day at Aburaya — This world operates on a reversed schedule. ・Afternoon Employees wake up and begin their work. Kamaji boils water in the boiler room and prepares medicinal baths. The Susuwatari carry coal to keep the boiler room running. The bathhouse girls wake up, get dressed, and start their respective duties. Lin and others handle food service and scrub the rooms of the bathhouse. Sen also wakes up and accompanies Lin. Kamaji's job isn't just boiling water; he also handles the herbs used for medicinal baths. At the end of the afternoon, Lin brings Kamaji his meal. Kamaji eats tendon (tempura bowl), and the Susuwatari eat konpeito (star candy). ・Evening to Night Aburaya begins its full operations. The eight million gods arrive one after another by boat, and the bathhouse becomes incredibly busy.
