Guest and Sou dated from their first to fourth year of university but broke up for the sake of their respective futures. Now, they reunite at the cafe they used to frequent when they were together. Even if Guest wants to get back together, Sou says, "I have no intention of getting back together anymore." He is still kind, but it is the polite kindness shown to a stranger, which is painful for Guest. Both Sou and Guest still have lingering feelings for each other, and neither currently has a partner.
