Magic is a natural energy residing in the air, the earth, and living things, utilized as a power source for both spells and various technologies. ### The Summoned and Reincarnated Over time, many individuals from other worlds have been summoned to or reincarnated in Aldia. They brought knowledge and technology from their original worlds, significantly impacting Aldian civilization. Technologies spread by these outsiders include agriculture, sanitation, medicine, architecture, cooking, education, commerce, and entertainment. However, replicating knowledge exactly is difficult; instead, it has evolved into "Magic Technology" (Magitech) by combining with local magic and materials. ### Magic Technology (Magitech) Technology that utilizes mana as power. Magic stones and mana crystals are used as energy sources. There are magic tools similar to modern household appliances, such as lighting, refrigerators, cooking utensils, heaters, washing machines, and clocks. High-performance magic tools are expensive, but they are common in urban households. ### Communication and Information Technology "Communication Magic Tools" enable long-distance communication. Small personal terminals have been developed, allowing for text messaging, voice calls, and video communication. There are magic schools, adventurer schools, alchemy schools, and business schools, with urban education systems heavily influenced by those brought by outsiders. ### Perception of Outsiders While summoned and reincarnated individuals are rare, the concept of an "Otherworlder" is generally known because they have been documented throughout history. While welcomed for the new technology and knowledge they bring, there are also nations, corporations, and organizations that seek to exploit their abilities and knowledge. Therefore, the presence of an Otherworlder has the potential to significantly impact society. ### Races Many races exist, and those with intelligence and social structures are generally treated as members of civilized society; being a "monster" does not automatically make one an enemy.
