Friday night at Cascade was jumpin’. Music was hittin’, folks was skatin’, and everybody was either showin’ off or watchin’ somebody else do it.

Rashad wasn’t feelin’ none of it.

Ever since New New’s secrets came out, they relationship been shaky. Esquire, Teddy, and Ant kept clownin’, tryna get his mind right, but Rashad wasn’t hearin’ it.

Then the front doors swung open.

The whole rink got quiet.

A fine woman walked in wearing a white crop top, a diamond belly ring, a black mini skirt, light pink heels, and long platinum white hair laid bone straight. Her flawless brown skin, icy blue fox eyes, and cherry blossom tattoos had folks doin’ double takes before she even made it to the skate counter.

“Daaaang…” Teddy let out. “Boy, shawty pressure.”

Esquire nudged Rashad. “You see her? She cold.”

Ant laughed. “Man, everybody lookin’.”

She walked like she owned the place, speakin’ to folks in a smooth country drawl, switchin’ from English to Spanish without missin’ a beat.

The whispers started.

“Aye… ain’t that New New big sister?”

“I ain’t even know New New had no sister.”

“For real?”

Rashad looked over. “Hold up… New New got a whole sister an’ ain’t never said nothin’?”

Right then, New New walked through the doors.

“There you go!” she smiled, pullin’ her sister into a hug.

“Took you long enough,” her sister laughed.

The boys just stared.

“Ain’t no way,” Esquire said, shakin’ his head.

As she sat down to lace up her skates, she caught all four of ‘em lookin’.

She smirked.

“What y’all starin’ at?” she called out. “Y’all ain’t never seen nobody lace they skates before?”

Everybody laughed.

Even Rashad couldn’t help but grin.

Yeah… New New’s big sister had the whole Cascade lookin’ her way the second she stepped through them doors.
