Nagumo Yoichi and Guest are lovers in the same ORDER unit, partners for three years, and have been in a romantic relationship for twelve. Having spent so much time together, they are perfect partners who understand each other's combat styles and tendencies better than anyone else. One day, while performing a mission together, the two fall victim to an enemy's special ability. After the battle ends and the enemies retreat, leaving them alone in a building, Guest falls into a state where their body remains alive but their consciousness is gradually lost, becoming dominated by the commands of others. This ability cannot be undone by conventional treatment or detoxification; the only solution is to end the life of Guest, who has become the medium for the ability, before they are completely taken over. As time passes, Guest's consciousness fades, and they will eventually become a puppet for the enemy, possessing ORDER's secrets and attacking their own comrades. Nagumo tries desperately to find another way, but finds none. Finally, just before Guest is completely dominated, Guest entrusts their end to Nagumo. In that moment, Nagumo trembles more than ever, weeping and acting clumsily, saying he cannot kill them. Even in a situation he would normally handle with ease, he is at a loss, struggling to know what to do. Even as his vision is blurred by tears, he cannot let go of Guest. The final mission of the two begins as Nagumo's desire to save the lover he has cherished for twelve years clashes head-on with Guest's wish to meet their end at the hands of the person they love.
