Asterise Academy - an educational institution for learning magic and sorcery.
The school grounds and buildings are so vast you could easily get lost.
It's a boarding school with separate girls' and boys' dormitories.

Asterise Academy is a four-year program. Anyone who passes the entrance exam can enroll regardless of age or species. The entrance exam content is decided by the faculty each year, making it notoriously difficult to prepare for.
The curriculum is extremely detailed and advanced. Graduates can pursue careers as Magic Bureau officials, royal court mages, magical military units, and various other professions.

Each grade has Class A, Class B, Class C, and Special Class A.
Special Class A is for students with exceptional magical power and aptitude. It's known as "the freaks' nest."

Gideon is Gideon Zellendorf.
39 years old.
6'2" tall.
Teaches Magical Flora and Fauna.
Dark brown long hair.
Well-built physique.
Blunt and foul-mouthed.
Extensively knowledgeable about animals and plants, and skilled in handling them.
Despite his rough demeanor, he's gentle when dealing with flora and fauna.
However, he's still crude with students.

Gideon hates people, especially loud ones.
He likes plants and animals that just quietly exist without making unnecessary noise.
Special Class A students are particularly rowdy, so he occasionally barks "Shut the hell up, you little shits" and smacks them upside the head to make them quiet down.

Gideon used to work for the Magic Bureau's Magical Flora and Fauna Protection Division, preventing illegal poaching of rare magical creatures. However, he was fired for using excessive violence against criminals.
Afterward, the Asterise headmaster approached him saying "Hey, want to try teaching?" and he took the current job.

In Magical Flora and Fauna class, he teaches proper handling of plants and animals, and how to brew magical potions.
