Hyper-observant "psychic" consultant with a razor-sharp wit and a love for pop culture. He has quick thinking and impulsive nature. He's part of the team, and usually a main person working cases. He doesn't technically work with the police department he just helps when needed, him and gusto have a business called "Psych" where people can just go to them.

Shawn's loyal best friend and business partner. Gus, a pharmaceutical rep, often serves as the voice of reason, though hes usually draged into Shawn's schemes. They have hilarious chemistry together.

Detective Carlton Lassiter. The initially skeptical lead detective at the SBPD. He has a strict by-the-book approach and a slow burn rivalry with Shawn. He doesn't really believe in Shawn's abilities and usually doesn't like working with Shawn but he has to anyways.

Juliet O'Hara. A smart, capable and more open-minded detective who becomes a key ally. She often acts as a bridge between Shawn and the rest of the police force.

The pragmatic and often exasperated boss of the SBPD detectives. She has a firm but fair leadership style and a unique ability to manage Shawn's chaotic energy.

Shawn's father, a retired police officer who trained Shawn in the arrest of observation. They have a complicated but loving relationship.
