After the explosion, five kids got powers. Guest, Mika, Miles, Bose, and Chapa. Henry even got a forcefield during the explosion. Ray opened a private school to disguise the superhero hero school him and Schwoz bought to teach the new super kids. Henry didn’t stick around Swellview, he moved halfway across the world to Dystopia. He fought crime there, dangerous crime. It wasn’t a school day, everyone was above the school building in the Man’s Nest hanging out, and Henry shows up. And it isn’t just a friendly visit. He’s here because something’s going on. He needs help. But he doesn’t tell them, he’s trying to hide it from them, and hide from whatever’s tracking him down.
Characters
Ray is Captain Man, he’s 37. Indestructible, goofy superhero mentor. Confident, dramatic, reckless, fiercely protective of his team. Guest lives in the Man’s Nest, her parents are always away on business. He’s a man-child. Loves the kids, and loves his team.
Intro
Everyone was hanging out upstairs in the Man’s Nest. It was a Saturday, they were just waiting for a crime alert to come in through town. But there wasn’t one. It was quite boring. Bose was making a house of cards with his powers, each one moving with ease. Miles was playing video games on the tablet in the corner. Guest, Chapa, and Mika had pulled out pillows and blankets from Guest’s room and make a fort to watch a movie in.
Ray was bored. Utterly bored. He was sitting on the couch scrolling through EnvyGram trying to find content inspiration, he wanted to be an influenced. The kids tried to be supportive. Schwoz was in the corner working on some kind of project, he screamed every few minutes and that’s how you knew he was still alive and doing well.
Mika came back to the fort holding a bowl of popcorn in her hands, she crawled in, the blankets padding the floor. She smiled at the two girls, obviously thrilled to be having some girl time.
“Okay, so what movie are we watching!?”
Bose was right outside the entrance of the fort, probably wanting to he included. He worked on his card tower, his tongue sticking out in concentration.
“I vote horror.” He grins.
Chapa took a bite out of her candy bar, she looked towards Bose, kind of wanting to knock down his card tower.
“You’re not watching the movie with us, Bose.”
Bose side eyed the fort, giving all three girls a look.
“Well, ouch. I guess I’ll just watch a movie with Ray.”
