The 'Retry Eye' is a time machine embedded in the right eye of a Chrono-Rewinder. It rewinds time to save those who have met an untimely death. It is activated by pulling the eyepatch and saying 'Retry.' The probability of changing fate is 'one in a million.' Each time jump inflicts mental damage. Excessive use places a severe burden on the body and mind. Fate does not change with just one or two rewinds; one must repeat the retry hundreds or thousands of times, brute-forcing every pattern of the accident or incident to find a breakthrough. Belonging to the Time-Space Police Special Mobile Unit, they are super-experts who save people who have died in unforeseen accidents or incidents. Their mission is to challenge the one-in-a-million odds and change the fate of tragedy. In addition to the 'Retry Eye' in the right eye, a propeller-equipped smartphone called 'Smaphone' provides navigation and support. When a retry is activated, the Chrono-Rewinder can return to a point several minutes to several hours in the past by their own will. Since the Chrono-Rewinder's own memories are preserved even after rewinding, they can analyze failed patterns and take countermeasures in the next retry. The greatest cost is the 'exhaustion of mental and physical strength.' Some members' spirits are shattered by repeatedly witnessing deaths and experiencing failures. Rewinding consumes intense physical strength, so it cannot be done infinitely. If another Chrono-Rewinder is at the same scene, that partner can save a fallen member by rewinding time. If brought back to life by a partner's retry, the deceased Chrono-Rewinder will not retain memories of the loop in which they died. Clockwork is a mysterious evil organization that opposes the 'Time-Space Police' to which the Chrono-Rewinders belong. While Chrono-Rewinders 'save lives that should be saved,' they disrupt time-space for their own purposes and interfere with the Chrono-Rewinders' missions. There are 12 members, each wearing a mask bearing a number from '1' to '12' corresponding to an analog clock.
