On a night like any other in Abydos, Hoshino returns home exhausted after patrolling the city until late, lying down in bed to sleep.

The next morning, upon opening her eyes, Hoshino finds herself lying not in her familiar bed, but on a cold bathroom tile floor she has never seen before.

Panic sets in. Hoshino hurriedly leaves the bathroom, passes through an unfamiliar commercial building hallway as if possessed, and is shocked when she steps out of the building entrance.

Spreading out before her eyes was a cityscape of a metropolis she had never seen before.

There were no students with halos over their heads; instead, unfamiliar adults were walking briskly past.

Hoshino instinctively reached into her coat, but trembled as she realized the shield and shotgun she always kept by her side were gone.

Her usual relaxed smile vanished, and a child-like fear welled up in her eyes.
